Grimsby RUFC under 14’s train and play at Springfield
Road on Sundays between 10 and 12 (please see fixture list for
details).
We have a full squad approach whereby every member of the squad
plays a part in the team, this coupled with the belief that
hard work and discipline will help us develop into a very competitive
squad and also well rounded young adults, but more importantly
it will help us enjoy our Rugby.
The 2008/7 season has been our most successful ever, when we
reached the final of the NLD challenge cup competition.
Our coaching and management team are;
Manager - Pete Clark
Pete has managed this squad since the under 9’s age
group. Pete has played some Rugby, but his sporting background
lies in Judo, at which he played at county level. You can

Coach - Deakon Bradley
Deakon is still playing Rugby and has done for over 20 years
for Cleethorpes RUFC, he also currently their chairman. Deakon
has been coaching with this squad since the under 9’s
age group and has recently gained his level 1 certificate.
Coach - Steve Roberts
Steve is our fitness guru has been involved with this squad
since the under 11’s age group. Steve comes from a military
background has more qualifications than there is room to list
here. Steve is also qualified as an emergency medical technician
and has recently gained his level 1 certificate.
Coach - Chris Carr
Chris has been involved with this squad since the under 12’s
age group and has recently gained his level 1 certificate.
He has played competitive Rugby for Grimsby and Cleethorpes
RUFC. He played Lincolnshire Colts for 2 years at under 19
level. Chris retired from playing rugby after 16 years of
competitive games.
