Fixtures
Grimsby RUFC under 15’s train and play at Springfield
Road on Sundays between 10 and 12 (please see fixture list
for details).
We have a full squad approach whereby every member of the
squad plays a part in the team, this coupled with the belief
that hard work and discipline will help us develop into a
very competitive squad and also well rounded young adults,
but more importantly it will help us enjoy our Rugby.

Coach – Andrew Turner
Andrew (Fuzzy) Turner is married with two children, and has
played for Grimsby RUFC since the age of 13.His playing position
is loose head prop (cant play tight head!!) playing for the
colts and 1st team from the age of 17yrs old. At a younger
age he represented Lincs u16, NLD u16 schools, he captained
Lincs u19, played for the NLD u19 and Midlands u19, he trialed
as an England u19 and made the reserve team. Fuzzy also played
for Lincs u21 and NLD u21 and represented the R A F while
serving.
Fuzzy has been involved with coaching since the 2004-5 season
when his son decided to take up the game. Since then he has
taken his level one RFU coaching course and taken on the role
of lead coach for the team. Being a forward he is more forward
biased but as all props he is an aspiring back!!!!!!!
Coach – Mark Rendall-Tyrell
Mark has played rugby at Grimsby since 1979 starting as a
colt at 17years old and working through to the 1st team where
he played for many years apart from a 3-year spell while at
Sheffield where he represented the University team. Mark also
represented the county whilst playing and now retired has
taken up coaching recently gaining his level 1 badge under
the watchful eye of The Fuzz Man Turner. Ha! Ha!
Coach – Dave Withers
‘Googie’ has been a Grimsby Rugby club member
since 1979,has played for all senior teams through the 80’s
and early 90’s. He has served several terms on the general
club committee including one as club captain.
Googie has been coaching since the 2005-6 season and is working
towards his level 1 certificate; he joined the coaching team
when his son Luke took up the sport.
